USB Mini-B is a legacy USB connector still found on some cameras, audio interfaces, GPS units, test instruments and older external drives. Buy a Mini-B cable only when the device has that exact receptacle; Mini-B, Micro-B and USB-C are not interchangeable. Mini-B is a connector form, while USB 2.0 describes a bus specification. The USB 2.0 specification includes a theoretical high-speed signaling rate of 480 Mb/s, but the actual device, controller, file workload and cable condition determine observed throughput. A legacy camera or instrument may implement a slower mode even when its cable is compatible with USB 2.0.
Do not promise fast charging from a Mini-B cable. Power behavior is controlled by the exact device and host design, and many older products were built before current USB-C Power Delivery systems. Read the original device input specification rather than applying a modern charger wattage assumption.

- Device plug: confirm Mini-B from the manual and receptacle shape.
