Compare brightness and runtime on the same operating mode. ANSI/PLATO FL 1 provides common measurement methods for portable-light performance; the 2025 revision also standardizes short-duration turbo/boost claims and updates durability and ingress provisions. A product can advertise its highest lumen output and longest runtime even when those figures belong to different modes. Record each mode as a pair: lumens + runtime + test definition.
