“Qi2.2” is an informal market label, not the current consumer brand named by the Wireless Power Consortium. The official comparison is base Qi2, which introduced magnetic alignment and up to 15W, versus Qi2 25W, the brand for Qi specification v2.2.1 launched in July 2025. Choose by the exact certification, receiver support and power-adapter requirements—not by “Qi2.2” wording alone.
Use the Official Product Name in Specifications and Packaging
WPC identifies Qi v2.2.1 as Qi2 25W. A seller may use “Qi2.2” as shorthand, but that phrase does not tell you whether the product is certified, which power class it supports or which devices can receive the higher power. Procurement records and retail copy should name the exact Qi version or official certification scope.

“Up to” is a system limit, not a promise that every phone will show that number. The transmitter, receiver, firmware, case, alignment, input source and thermal conditions can change the observed rate. A magnetic ring by itself is not Qi2 certification.

- Check the phone: confirm native Qi2 or Qi2 25W support from the device maker or an exact certification record.
